We are delighted to announce that the programme for the VOCALIS 2026 workshop is now available!
From 21 to 25 September 2026, the international workshop on Validation of Operational Copernicus Altimetry over Land Water and Ice Surface (VOCALIS) will bring together scientists, data providers, and end users in Longyearbyen, Svalbard, to discuss the latest advances in the validation of Copernicus altimetry products over inland waters, the cryosphere, and coastal regions.
The programme includes keynote presentations, scientific sessions, panel discussions, and poster sessions covering topics such as:
- Validation methodologies and Fiducial Reference Measurements (FRMs) over inland water, sea ice, land ice;
- In situ observing networks and collaborative initiatives;
- Uncertainty estimation methodologies;
- Multi-mission validation synergies and in-situ gaps and needs;
- Future challenges and perspectives for operational validation.
