ESA and the 18 partners of the St3TART consortium met virtually on 27 July 2021 for the Kick-off Meeting of the project. The focus was on the main objectives of the project, the management aspects and the expected outcomes such as the collection of existing data and the organization of field campaigns, the compliance with FRM standards, data distribution through the FRM Data Hub, the development of new tools to ease the identification of Calval sites, and the production of a roadmap for future measurement campaigns to ensure the Copernicus Sentinel-3 STM Calval activities on land surfaces (hydrology, sea ice and land ice).

The meeting was a success, with all the participants eager to begin the St3TART activities.
